Business Resource Center Business Resource Center - The Monroe County Library System, partnering with the MI-SBTDC, presents the Business Resource Center. Located upstairs at the Ellis Library and Reference Center, the BRC includes a collection of books and other resources to aid entrepreneurs starting business ventures. Reference librarians are available onsite, as well as by telephone and email. Public internet computers and group study rooms are also accessible.
Federal Depository Library - Monroe County Library System is a depository for Federal, State, Local, and Nuclear Documents. These documents are housed in the Ellis Reference and Information Center on South Custer Road.

Images from the George A. Custer Collection is a selection of images contained within the Lawrence A. Frost Collection of Custeriana located at the Ellis Library and Reference Center, in Monroe, Michigan.   The Frost Collection of Custeriana is a multi-media collection which focuses on the life and times of General George Armstrong Custer.

The George Armstrong Custer Collection of the Monroe County Library System - The George Armstrong Custer Collection of the Monroe County Library System is a multi-media resource center which specializes in the life and times of General George Armstrong Custer. It is the library's intent to collect as much information as possible thereby allowing researchers the tools necessary to investigate and examine this controversial man/figure.

Genealogy Genealogy Collection @ MCLS helps to lighten the load of research and includes census records from counties in Michigan as well as Ohio. The print collection is primarily located at the Ellis Reference and Information Center.
War of 1812 Digital Collection - The Monroe County Library System, in collaboration with the Monroe County Historical Commission, has digitized primary documents relating to the War of 1812, including the Battle of the River Raisin. The massacre that occurred at the River Raisin in 1813 has been one of the least studied and least understood events in Michigan History. Digitization of these materials will preserve important educational documents and provide greater access to primary materials about the battle and the war.
Postcards of Monroe - Postcards of Monroe Michigan is a project of the Monroe County Library System's local history collection.  The Monroe Local History Collection holds more than 400 Monroe postcards within its archive.  This digital project contains a selection of these materials from the Monroe County Library System's postcard collection.
