Bygones of Monroe:
The Fifteenth Regiment
From a visit to Camp Monroe we learn that the Fifteenth Regiment is now fully provided with arms, knapsacks, & clothing and will soon be ready for marching orders. Six companies have been mustered today and tomorrow. The Regiment is uniformly healthy, only eighteen or twenty, being confined in the hospital and the most suffering from diseases resulting from bad colds and exposure.
