Bygones of Monroe:
Horses for the Army
Messrs. Sterling and Wakefield left town on Tuesday morning for Detroit, with a lot 38 horses, the first installment of the fifty which they are to furnish for Brodhead’s Cavalry. Most of them were excellent animals, and they were said to be, altogether, the best lot ever taken from this place.
