Deaths At Malvern Hill
The correspondent of the New York World, with McClellan’s army, furnished a list of federal prisoners who died of their wounds at Malvern Hill Hospital, from July 1st to July 14th. In the list we find the following names of Michigan men, all of the 4th Regiment:
Isaac Navarre, Co. A, July 5; E.E. Goodhue, D, hip, July 4th; Elias D. Ayliffe, E, head and shoulder, July 6th; W.H. Murphy, F. head, July 7; Albert Westgate, G, shoulder, July 9; A. Wetzel, (Co. not given) July 9.
