List of the 18th Mich. Infantry taken Prisoners
On Thursday night last fifty-three of the 18th Michigan Infantry, while serving on picket duty, about 18 miles from Cincinnati, on the road from Covington to Louisville, were taken prisoners by some 400 rebel cavalry. From a letter received from Lieut. Col. Spalding we are permitted to copy the following complete list of those taken. Probably none were killed or wounded as none could be found on the field. They will undoubtedly very soon be paroled:
