From Monroe Boys in Co. A, Fourth Regiment
A letter from Frank Benderitter of Co. A dated on the 18th says “we have been in another skirmish.” He says that Frank Nelson was wounded in the neck; Wm Gibson in the arm; Theodore Haberfellner in the arm and that Walter White and Wm. Watkins were killed, and that the Regiment lost 30 in all.
