FamilySearch announced on its website that it will no longer offer PAF (Personal Ancestral File) software and support beginning July 15, 2013. The organization cites "advances in technology" and "strong alternatives from third parties" as the reason for the demise of the popular genealogy software program. Detroit Public Television is working with PBS on a short series that they hope will turn into a longer running national PBS series. The program is titled Genealogy Road Show.
