Library cards can be used in more places than just libraries these days. Over one hundred Monroe County businesses have joined forces to celebrate the Monroe County Library System’s 75th anniversary and that translates into a variety of perks when customers show their library cards. Some businesses are only participating during Library Month in April, others are offering perks on a monthly basis and others have signed up for the entire year. See the complete list with details below.
Some businesses such as American Eagle or Elder Beerman will not have a sign asking you to show your card due to corporate restrictions, but the sales staff will ask. If they don’t ask you, ask them and if you go somewhere and they’re not participating, tell them to call us at 241-5770 and we’ll add them to the list.
